According to the ABA, the CFMP is the only industry-recognized certification for bank marketers, and demonstrates “mastery of Data and Analytics, Leadership, Strategy, Revenue Generation, and more.” To obtain the CFMP, candidates must meet eligibility requirements including years of experience and/or a baccalaureate degree with a business, economic or marketing-related major, and completion of the ABA Bank Marketing School. Goates graduated from the ABA Bank Marketing School in April 2022 and left with a goal to earn her CFMP certification by the end of the year.
